Aadhaar Card has become an essential document in today’s era and without this, you too can not take advantages of many government schemes as well as private. In fact, along with the country becoming digital, the Aadhaar card has been digitised and keeping this in mind, UIDAI has launched a new version of mAadhaar for the convenience of the users. UIDAI has given this information on its official Twitter handle. You can take advantage of more than 35 facilities of the Aadhaar card through the mAadhaar application.

Recently, UIDAI tweeted about its latest version of its mAadhaar app from its official Twitter handle. The tweet said, “To experience the new and updated features and services in the #mAadhaar app, uninstall any previously installed versions.” In this tweet, UIDAI has also provided the links to download for Android and ISO users.

        Now, mAadhaar is more than an Aadhaar card in the wallet. Get over 35 Aadhaar services like download Aadhaar, stratus check, order Aadhaar reprint(PVC), locate Aadhaar Kendra etc, on your smartphone that an individual can enjoy using the mAadhaar app.

Our mAadhaar new version has three major sections:

Aadhaar services dashboard:- All online services that can be used for any Aadhaar number.

My Aadhaar sections:- personalized services for the Aadhaar profiles you add.

Enrollment centre sections:- Map for locating the enrollment centre.

1. Get Aadhaar by downloading or ordering a reprint of Aadhaar or by retrieving lost or forgotten Aadhaar.
2. View or Show Aadhaar in offline mode, particularly when residents are required to show their ID proof.
3. Lock & unlock feature of Aadhaar:- Set a 4-digit passcode for your mAadhaar app. This passcode will be required if you use any services related to the selected Aadhaar profile like Aadhaar lock/Unlock, Bio-metric Lock/Unlock, VID generator, eKYC etc.
4. Update Your demographic details online through SSUP or the mAadhaar app:- Go to the link or download the #mAadhaar app to update your Name, Gender, DoB, and Address. Charges required Rs.50/- per request or update, more than one detail can be updated at once.
5. Now make minor changes to your Name in Aadhaar, through a self-service update portal or mAadhaar application

a) Spelling correction (provided the pronunciation is phonetically the same)
b) Sequence change.
c) Short-form to full form.
d) Name change after marriage.

6) Now you can update your Date of Birth in Aadhaar, through Self Service Update Portal or mAadhaar application

• Only declared/unverified Date of Birth can be updated online (Valid document required as per list given on guidai.gov.in)

• Required Rs.50/- charges against each update request online. (Update of more than one field at a time is considered as one update only)

7) Now you can update your GENDER in Aadhaar, through Self Service Update Portal or mAadhaar application

• To avail of this service required your mobile number registered Aadhaar for OTP.
• No Document Required.
• Required Rs.50/- charges against each update request online. (Update of more than one field at a time is considered as one update only)

8) Now you can update your ADDRESS in Aadhaar, through Self Service Update Portal or mAadhaar application

• Upload an original scan of address proof as per the valid document list as per the list given on uidai.gov.in.

9) Manage the Aadhaar details of a family member in one mobile for up to 5 members through the mAadhaar app.

10) Share Paperless eKYC or QR code to service providing agencies through the mAadhaar app.

11) Generate or Retrieve VID which user can use in the place of Aadhaar to avail Aadhaar services through the mAadhaar app.

12) Check Request Status Dashboard- after enrolling for Aadhaar, ordering reprint or updating Aadhaar data, the resident can check the status of the service request in the mAadhaar app.

13) Book an appointment to visit Aadhaar Seva-Kendra.

14) Aadhaar Sync feature allows the resident to fetch the updated data in the Aadhaar profile after successful completion of an update request.

15) Time-based OTP can be used instead of SMS based OTP to avail Aadhaar Online services through the mAadhaar app.

16) Locate the enrollment Centre through the mAadhaar app that the user find the nearest enrolment centre.

17) mAadhaar users can download the Aadhaar card in the app itself.
