  1. To open an online account on PNB, you have to visit PNB official website www.pnbindia.in
  2. See a menu bar on the right side and choose the online services of the menu bar, then click on “Saving Account with video KYC”.
  3. Open a new tab and go to “Customer onboarding Platform”, where you choose to Apply for Savings Account.
  4. Now you see two types of accounts are here-- a) Unnati Saving Account b) Power Saving Account. Choose any one of them and tick I Agree on the consent form and then proceed.
  5. If it wants location permission, then allow it and proceed with your mobile number, email and agree for verification. Submit OTP from your given mobile number.
  6. Submit PAN, Aadhaar number and submit your consent to proceed with ID proof.
  7. Submit OTP from your mobile number that linked to the Aadhar number to complete verification.
  8. Your Basic details gathered from your Aadhar number. [Address, date of birth]
  9. Select your communication details-- Yes, for same as your eKYC and No, for different communication address and submit all details.
  10. Submit other personal details-- Married status, Parents name, Religion, Category, Occupation details, Income etc and submit nominee details [if you choose].
  11. Branch selection-- Submit your preferable branch address and select digital services that you need. [
  12. Submit your consent and declaration. Please read all terms correctly and select your KYC option and submit.
  13. a) OTP base instant eKYC account.
  14. b) Video base full eKYC account within 12 working hours.
  15. The Preview Application of bank account in your front and read all points correctly then tick on Agree and Declaration and submit an application.
  16. After all this your account will be created and display on your front, you have to wait for few times.

Who can apply- A resident Individuals (either single or joint), Associations, Trust, Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs), Club, Societies, Institutions specially permitted by RBI etc can open Unnati Savings Account.


Highlights of PNB Unnati Saving Account

  • There is no need initial deposit but if you wish, you can do it.
  • Minimum quarterly average balance (QAB) and charges for not maintaining QAB of Rural, Semi-Urban, Urban, Metropolitan area Rs.500, Rs.1000, Rs.2000, Rs.2000 respectively.
  • Documents required for opening the accounts- Account opening form (AOF)
  • Identity and Address proof as per KYC norms.
  • Related documents in case of Associations, HUF, Clubs, Trust, Society etc.
  • If debit transactions exceed 40, charges will be applicable.
  • 3rd party cash payments up to a maximum of Rs. 50000/- per day.

Terms & Conditions

*Insurance claim of Rs.5lac is applicable if

  1. The Quarter Average Balance in the account during the last calendar quarter remains equal to or more than Rs.25000/-
  2. Minimum one transaction on POS/E-Com during the last 90days.
  3. Platinum Debit Card should have been used within 45 days as per extant guidelines.
  4. If the customer chooses to have a Classic debit card then the personal Accident insurance is restricted to Rs.10 lac.
  5. If the customer is holding the platinum debit card and has used last 45 days but either of condition 1 & 2 is not fulfilled then the insurance claim will be restricted to Rs.2 lac.
  6. If Quarterly Average Balance of Minimum Rs.5000/- in the Last Quarter is maintained.


Further additional reward points if the transaction is done through internet baking and mobile banking as compared to other customers.
