Recently the Punjab government has launched the Kisan credit Limit Scheme for animal breeders or Pashu Palak. In this scheme, Pashupalaks like cattle bearers can make their Kisan Credit Limit just like agriculture farmers.
Under this scheme, the Punjab government granted Rs. 3Lakh amount per family at 4% rate of interest for every cattle breeder or animal husbandry. The Kisan Credit Limit Scheme would immensely benefit the small and landless cattle breeder framers. And to avail loan up to Rs. 1.6 lakh, the security in the form of land would not be necessary. The main objective of this scheme is to boost and promote animal husbandry (Pashupalan).
This Punjab Kisan Credit Limit Scheme will enable pashupalak or animal husbandry to cover daily expenses, incurred expenses, incurred on the feed of animals, medicines, water and electricity bills.
The state government will focus on extensive publicity of this Punjab Kisan Credit Limit Scheme. This would ensure that the maximum number of farmers associated with the allied occupations can derive optimum benefit from the scheme.
Withdrawal of the money could be done at regular intervals through a card issued to Pashupalak Kisan. There is no fee, charged by the bank for making the limit and including without guarantee loan for animal husbandry.
