How to update or change your mobile number and address of Aadhar via online.

We all know Aadhar is a very important document and it is used in almost all private and government sector for identity verification. It carries almost all details like financial, biometrical etc of a person. Enabling Aadhaar for various services like Government & Non-Government Services, Subsidy Benefits, Pensions, Scholarships, Banking services, Insurance services, Taxation services, Education, Employment, Healthcare etc., makes it essential.

The Self-Service online mode offers address, mobile number and more update to the residents where the resident can directly place the update request on the portal. The Aadhaar number and registered mobile number of the resident are required to log in to the portal. The resident is authenticated using OTP on his/her registered mobile number. To complete the update process, the resident needs to upload the supporting POA documents, which will be verified against requested data at a later stage at UIDAI’s Update back-office by a Verifier.

This type of update on Aadhar is called Demographic data update, where the resident doesn't need to go enrolment centre. The resident needs to have a mobile number registered with Aadhaar for using this service. The entire procedure diagram is given below👇.

First login to Aadhar self-service updates online portal clicks here. There you will see all self-services demographic facility and check your earlier update status. Check the list of valid documents concerning the update required.

For update click on 👉update Aadhar online and submit your Aadhar number, fill the captcha, send OTP, then submit your OTP from your registered mobile number. After submitting OTP you will another page, where you choose the update demographic data option (page image below) and showing a pop-up, read carefully and select agree.

Now choose to change the mobile number and address of Aadhar also you can change your email, name, date of birth and photo. For update, your mobile number enter your new mobile new and submit OTP from the new mobile number. For update, address enter your new address full details and click preview. Now you see a new address on your Aadhar and check it before submitting the document. The upload document name is given below 👇

After uploading the document and click submit, you will get a message of your updated Aadhar on your mobile number and Your update request process is completed successfully on your screen with a 14 digit URN number.
