Income Tax Return portal will be change on 7thJUNE. Here you know the all about it...

             Recently the Indian government announced good news for all taxpayers. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation government extended ITR(Income tax return) date and try to make a simple convenient and seamless experience where taxpayers can easily pay their ITR. For this Indian government will launch a new portal or website soon.

        Now ITR(Income tax return) file doing for the fiscal year 2020-21, so the income tax department will launch a new portal in June. After launched, a new portal the present portal operation will close. The information from the IT(income tax) department present portal will be close 1 to 6 June for taxpayers. It is heard that the new IT portal will be more user friendly, integrated with immediate processing of Income Tax Returns(ITRs) to issue quick refunds to taxpayers. It means any taxpayers can file ITRs individually without difficulty. The information is already published on 20th May at present portal  http://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home, informed that due to upgrading new system the present portal closed from 1 to 6 June for taxpayers.

      

Budget 2021, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that there is autofill in the new portal when you file ITRs from other sources of income, it means no need twice entry also in future ITRs fill will be more reliable so that people stop escaping from ITRs file and start providing correct information of account. The new URL name of the Income Tax department is www.incometaxgov.in launch on 7th June and it's some features points are given below👇

  • New portal integrated with immediate processing of ITRs to provide quick refunds to taxpayers.
  • All interactions and uploads or pending actions will be displayed on a single dashboard for follow-up action by the taxpayer.
  • New call centre for taxpayer assistance for immediate answers to taxpayer queries with FAQs, Tutorials, Videos and chatbot/live agent.
  • New online tax payment system on new portal will be enabled subsequently with multiple new payment options using net banking, UPI, Credit Card and RTGS/NEFT from any account of the taxpayer in any bank, for easy payment of taxes.
  • New portal gives free software online and offline with an interactive guide and its functions are easily accessible even on a mobile network.


The information strictly provided that income tax officer can't accept any complaint or hearing about IT between 1 to 6 June. During the covid-19 situation in 2021-22 fiscal year 15lakhs taxpayers given 24,792 Cr. rupees ITRs, here 14.98lakhs individual taxpayers received 7,458 Cr. refund and 17,334 Cr. refund to 43,661 corporate taxpayers. Here you see ITRs file and refund progress well in the pandemic situation but the government extended the date of ITRs file up to 31st September 2021 for individual and 30th November 2021 for corporate taxpayers.
