Bank Holidays in July 2021: Check here list of days banks will remain shut.

 Bank holidays vary as per the specific state and they are not the same in all the state. Only gazetted holidays are observed by banks all over the country. According to the Reserve Bank Of India(RBI) holiday calendar list, there will fifteen bank holidays in July including the regular holidays like the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of the month.

Holiday under Negotiable Instrument Act by Reserve Bank of India(RBI) of June. According to the RBI guidelines, all banks including the Public sectors, Private sectors, Foreign banks, Cooperative banks and Regional banks across the country will remain shut on notified holidays.

Already said holidays vary from state to state, so customers are advised to visit the website of their respective banks but RBI has also made second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of month compulsory for all banks to remain shut.

All the Banks will remain closed for nearly 15 days in July 2021 where including national holidays, religious holidays and Sundays and 2nd Saturdays. There are a total of six weekly holidays in July 2021 and apart from this there are major two religious holidays, one is Ratha Yatra (July 12) and another is Bakri Id (July 21). All banks of Gangtok state will shut on July 13, 14 and 19 for Bhanu Jayanti, Druka Tshechi and Guru Rimpoche's Thungkar Tshechu respectively. On July 16 in Dehradun, July 17 in Agartala, Shilong and July 31 in Agartala all banks will be shut for religious holidays( above mention in the chart). On July 20, the bank will be shut in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram for Bakrid and on July 21, all banks will be closed for Bakri Id in all states except few states.


While the bank branches will remain shut these days, mobile and internet banking will remain functional as usual. Customer can make transactions through online modes.
